SINGLE LEVER MIXERS INSTALLATION GUIDE

FOR SINGLE LEVER AND CERAMIC DISK TAPS AND MIXERS

1.Make sure you are using a qualified plumber with the necessary Certificates to do the installation, if not your Guarantee‘s and Warrantee’s will be waivered.

2. A inline strainer should always be installed when using Ceramic Disk Cartridges or Valve’s this is Standard practice amongst all suppliers of similar products.

3. Lines must be thoroughly flushed with tap and mixers in the open position and aerators removed in order to get all dirt and flux out of the system. If this is not done correctly you will find flux and pieces of loose copper in the lines damage the Ceramic Cartridge. This will adversely effect the Lifespan of the Cartridge as well as the functionality of the taps and mixers

4. The inlet connectors must be fitted with the correct tool and not over tightened (Do not use water pump pliers, vice grips and shifting spanners or pipe wrenches) the correct tool is a combination spanner.

5.lt makes the installation easier if the product is fitted before the basin has been installed. Make sure the fixing bolts are tight, this will ensure the product will not come loose later.

6.lt is recommended you install angle valves with all products, this will enable the user to close the water at the tap when necessary. This will also allow you to control the water flow. 7. All Ceramic Disk Tap and Mixers are designed for high pressure balanced systems, it is advisable you that you check this is the case before installing the product

8.These products are designed to work in a system with balanced working pressure of no less than 400 KPA and a maximum of 600 KPA. (STANDARD HIGH PRESSURE GEYSER)

  1. Plumbcrazy Lever Mixers has a 1 Year Warranty. Cartridge have a 1 Year Guarantee. NB Cartridge are NOT guaranteed against abrasive sand etc.-in the water supply.

POSSIBLE INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

1A. PROBLEM: Slow or no water when taps are Opened. .

1B. ANSWER: The aerator will more than likely have been blocked With dirt or the inlet tubes and clean.

1C.SOLUTIONS: Remove the aerator and clean, turn the water off remove the inlet tubes and clean.

2A. PROBLEM: cold water pressure is stronger than the hot water pressure making it difficult to mix correctly or the water Pressure is not strong enough  

2A.ANSWER: System Is either unbalanced, or not a high pressure system lastly the water supplier is not supplying you with reasonable water pressure

2C.SOLUTION: The system needs to be balanced, or upgraded to higher pressure by a qualified plumber. Lastly you Municipality must be advised that the water pressure is insufficient in your area.
